SHB30215 Certificate III in Make-up

Course Description

The Certificate III in Make-up is designed for people wishing to become professional make-up artists. Successful graduates will learn how to design and apply make-up for a range of purposes and occasions across the beauty, fashion, weddings and media and entertainment industries.

You will learn the necessary skills to colour match foundation, a wide range of eye make-up application and effects, contouring and other skills required to be successful within the beauty/male-up industries.

In addition to the specialist make-up services graduates may also find work for cosmetic companies applying makeup in retail environments, as brand ambassador or advising customers about the most suitable products to use as well as sales.

Class Timetable

3 days per week (2 Terms) - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm - Subject to Minimum student numbers.

Requirements

Completion of literacy and numeracy test. 

15 years of age and completion of year 10 for domestic students (special dispensation available upon application).

18 years of age for international students and year 12 equivalent.

Articulations

Upon successful completion of this course you can get advanced standing in other Beauty Training Package qualifications, such as Certificate III in Nail Technology – SHB30315, Certificate III in Beauty Services – SHB30115, Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy – SHB40115, as well as relevant Retail Training Package qualifications.
