Barbering Pathway Programme (BNE & GC)

Course Description

Barbering has really made a comeback in Australia and and in 2016 the Certificate III in Barbering – SHB30516 was announced.   The pathway programme will supply successful graduates with the skills and confidence to jump start their careers and enter this growing industry.

AAHB has been overwhelmed with requests for pathways to a career in barbering, so after consultation with dozens of industry members we have packaged together a Barbering Pathway Programme – incorporating traditional barbering techniques.

The first offering of this course commenced in November 2013 and the enquiry number and enrolments has continued to grow as the barbering industry expands and the course has now evolved to include nine (9) units covered under the new national barbering qualification.

With units covering scissor/clipper over-comb techniques, taper cuts, flat tops, beard and moustache shaping with face and neck shaves (using straight edge razors) it is no wonder our graduates are highly sought after within the industry.

The intensive hands-on barber pathway programme will provide you with the skills and confidence required to open the door of your new career over its 22 week delivery.

This course is offered at AAHBs Brisbane and Gold Coast Campuses.

Upon successful completion of both the theory and practical elements of the course students will obtain a Statement of Attainment (SOA) for the units successfully completed. These units can be directly credited to your Certificate III in Barbering - SHB305165
